It’s been a long time- let’s see some booties.
I’ve been really busy with the site re-design among a lot of other stuff on my plate. I have been working on yarn related stuff and I did knit a pair of pants for a customer. The Crochet Baby Pants have been seamed. I now have to do the edging around the legs and make the waistband. I finally finished the two baby hats also. Pictures to follow in the next posts.
The pink booties (bootie?) were intended as a gift. I just never finished them in time for them to fit. After that, they got pushed aside because all the babies that were coming earthside at the time were boys. It’s a free pattern from Sue’s Crochet and Knitting. I’m going to finish them just so that I can determine guage for this yarn. It’s two strands of Malabrigo lace in “Barbie” held together. I have a substantial bit of it. My only concern is that I started these so long ago (2005) that my guage may have changed.
Yellow Booties
These booties are made with Patons Bumblebee in “Daffodil”. The pattern is from Simple Knits for Cherished Babies by Erika Knight. These were also started in 2005. My cousin asked for a pair but back then my knitting was a lot slower and so I didn’t finish in time. I haven’t decided if I’m going to finish them. I only have one ball of Daffodil so booties or another baby hat may be all I can do with it.
